2011 Los Olivos Pinot Noir

Layers of robust dark cherry and boysenberry liqueur, sparked by aromatic nutmeg.

Grapes sourced from our own Los Olivos Vineyard in Jamieson Canyon.

Tasting Notes

Black cherry, black plum and blueberry, seasoned with anise and warm baking spices, giving way to a well-balanced, fleshy and ripe structure: dense, focused and full- bodied; pleasantly firm tannins leading to an elegant, reverberating finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Harvested at night to ensure that the grapes are still cool when they reach the winery; clusters de-stemmed—not crushed—and put through our double-berry sorting system; whole berries cold soaked for three weeks, with primary fermentation taking place in the barrel, followed by an extended maceration of 27 days for maximum extraction of color and flavor.
